Monday monday

Overall, a pretty good day. The docs are in the process of scaling back her Milrinone in an effort to find the lowest, yet effective, dosage. This way they can send her home and not have to tweak it at home.

She is off of the heparin drip and will begin her ‘normal’ med mix of warafrin and lasix (among others), again, in prep to go home!

She just recently now had a atrial fibrillation run that subsided in a couple of minutes, but really pooped her out. These ‘runs’ are common for both her condition and people on Milrinone, so the docs aren’t too worried, especially if they stop quickly.

She was able to go for a nice walk down and back to the therapy room and exercise on the NuStep for a couple more minutes. We plan on having lizzy visit and taking Maria and Lizzy outside for a bit (she hasn’t been outside since Wed), so that might be good.

Tomorrow (hopefully) will entail meeting with the home-service agency that will help manage her IV meds at home, going over some of the education pieces. I think that, based on early results of lowering her dosage and seeing how maria is reacting, that they will not lower the dosage anymore, and may bump it back up a smidge (as it seems this is where she felt her best).

Talk to you all tomorrow!

About marialegatt

I am a 33 year old girl (I say girl because I act and look young all the time) who has had heart disease her whole life. In the last few years I have had severe congestive heart failure and in August of this year recieved a heart transplant. This is my journey to be girl/woman who I could never have been before. I plan to set outstanding goals and achievements and hope people support me along the way good or bad.
